Equipment Spotlight: Go Pro Hero 3 Video Camera

My favorite new addition to our equipment lending program is the Go Pro video camera.  For those of you who haven’t heard of the GoPro, it’s a small form-factor, wide-angle “wearable” video camera. You can attach it to your head, bike helmet, or wear it on the included chest harness. It includes a water-proof case so that you can use it safely in the rain or under water.  I used it this summer on a trip to the Bahamas and although the footage of me flopping around in the water while snorkeling for the first time is too embarrassing to show here, trust me when I say it turned out quite well.  And Nick used it to film his bike ride from the library to Honest Tom’s.
