The Penn Museum has just opened a brand new website with digital access to much of their collection. Browsing through the site is incredibly easy, and it even gives you a link to collection highlights. The images are high quality, and many of the items have multiple views. The collections cover a huge swath of history and culture, and all of the images are available to use in your academic work. Next time you’ve got a paper to write on Rome, Egypt, Early America, the Middle East, Tibet, or pretty much anywhere else in human recorded history, swing by the museum site to see if their pictures add something to more to your work than what you can find on Google Image Search.
