Come Try our new iPad, Surface, and Nexus tablets!

Well I certainly know what *I’m* thankful for this year.

We just got an iPad 4.

And an iPad mini.

And a Nexus 7.

And a Nexus 10.

and a Microsoft Surface.

Oh yes we did.

And they’re all here for all Penn students, faculty, and staff to come and try out. Just come to the Vitale Digital Media Lab and ask the lab consultant on duty.  We’re not lending them (yet!) but you can use them while you’re in the lab.

Here’s a quick comparison of them:

Tablet Name Dimensions Operating System Weight Manufacturer
iPad 4 9.5 x 7.3″ iOS 23 oz Apple
iPad mini 7.9 x 5.3″ iOS 13.4 oz Apple
Nexus 7 10.4 x 7″ Android 12 oz ASUS
Nexus 10 10.8 x 6.8″ Android 21.3 oz Samsung
Surface 7.8 x 4.7″ Windows RT 24 oz Microsoft

We’ll also be showing them off at Gadget Day on December 7.  Be sure to check out the other sessions we have going on that same day.
