Congratulations to Nachiket Chanchani, who printed his completed doctoral dissertation in the Vitale Digital Media Lab today after 5 years of hard work. Nachiket has been coming to the lab regularly since 2008, largely scanning images and cleaning them up in Photoshop. His dissertation, titled “Fordings and Frontiers: Architecture and Identity in the Central Himalayas,” is about temple architecture on the routes from India to Tibet. You can see him here proudly holding the final document–over 350 pages!–while Nick gives an enthusiastic thumbs up in the background. Congrats, Nachiket!! Don’t forget to come back and visit when you’re a big, famous art history professor.
