We will be offering a lunchtime workshop tomorrow (Friday, March 5) on using Lynda.com, a comprehensive video-based online software training service, with offerings on such diverse topics as Adobe Photoshop, Captivate, Drupal, Dreamweaver, Final Cut Pro, Google Apps, InDesign, MS Office, Facebook, how to use Macintosh computers, Twitter, 3D modelling and rendering, blogging, podcasting, webdesign, SQL, and much more. We will discuss the type of training available, the basics of using the system, and how to get the most out of it. We’ll learn how to obtain transcripts of the videos, how to download the sample files that accompany each lesson, how to watch videos at different speeds, and more.
The workshop will be held Friday, March 5 from 12noon – 1pm in the Weigle Information Commons Class of ’68 Seminar Room in Van Pelt Library.
Please feel free to bring your lunch.
