The five group study rooms along the window-side of WIC now have iMacs in place. We hope that the iMacs, set up in the corner of each room, will help groups with video-conferencing and video-recording, providing newer technology than the Video-to-DVD systems in Rooms 127, 128 and 129. If you use Skype, you can record your Skype call (both sides at once!) using Skype Call Recorder.
Many of the rooms also now have a “hub” with connection points for plugs and Ethernet chords – hopefully, our summer project will help us keep our wires a bit tidier for fall semester. Soon, we’ll be lending wireless keyboards and trackpads so that you can use the iMac while seated at the table.
