Learning Objects preview sessions

The Learning Objects blog and wiki tools in Blackboard will soon be updated to the most recent release, Campus Pack 4. These changes will happen during our regularly scheduled Blackboard downtime, May 15-17.

This upgrade changes how instructors and students will interact with the blog and wiki tools as the user interface takes on a more modern look. Instructors are invited to catch a sneak peek at one of several upcoming preview sessions:

  • Wednesday, May 2: 10-11am
  • Thursday, May 3: 2-3pm
  • Monday, May 7, 1-2pm
  • Wednesday, May 9, 11am-12pm

These demonstrations will showcase the changes and new tools available in Campus Pack 4. Registration is requested, but not required, at

. All sessions will be held in the Meyerson Conference Center (Van Pelt Library, second floor).

We also will be providing the following types of support to help with this transition:

  • Updated documentation for using collaboration tools and a separate page describing the changes
  • PDF handouts for students that you can print or include in your course site
  • Support via email and workshops

All of these materials will be available on the Courseware website closer to the upgrade.

This process will not affect any existing blog or wiki content. Older blogs or wikis will be upgraded to the new version the first time any user visits them following the upgrade. However, this step is not necessary or required for older blogs or wikis.
